IMCA Members

The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) is the international trade association representing offshore, marine, and underwater engineering companies. Our inspectors are CMID and OVID accredited, ensuring we meet all client inspection requirements.

Marine Technology Society Members

• Cevico Marine Consultants and Surveyors are members of the Marine Technology Society.
  The Marine Technology Society was incorporated in June 1963 to give members of the academy.
• Our guiding purpose is: “To promote awareness, understanding, advancement, and application of marine technology.
• Marine Technology Society's mission is to:
• Facilitate a broader understanding of the relevance of marine technology to wider global issues by enhancing the dissemination of marine technology information.
• Promote and improve marine technology and related educational programs.
• Advance the development of the tools and procedures required to explore, study, and further the responsible and sustainable use of the oceans.

• The IMCA CMID (Common Marine Inspection Document) provides a standard format for inspection of offshore vessels and small boats. Its use helps promote safety and efficiency and can help reduce the number of repeat inspections on individual marine vessels.
• The inspection should be planned and undertaken in liaison with the vessel owner and should be undertaken by a competent inspector. Vessel charterers and clients may consider the inspection report before commissioning any further inspections. As a ‘living’ document, the CMID may be kept and updated onboard a vessel, thus reducing the time involved in an audit.
• The CMID is regularly reviewed and updated in the light of regulatory and technical developments.
